My hero, My Angel

February 14, 2014 - Lang. Arts/Writing

My godfather Will, he was a great person. Although we recently lost Will to a major blood clot in his brain that caused him a seizure his spirit will always be with me. And I know that I can still talk to him up in heaven.

For many years he has always been with my family and I. When my sisters and I were born Will and his wife Laurie were there. After we were all born they were put as our godparents. We also have many memories with them at my grandpa Bill and Mary Catherine’s house in Camp Creek. They would always come with us for vacation.

All though his lifetime he helped others with anything. While my dad was growing up he didn’t have the best childhood. The day that Will and my dad met Will let my dad use his car. Will would do anything to help anyone. When New Orleans got hit by hurricane Katrina he went down there and brought generators, and helped.

Most importantly he was a spiritual person and a godly man. If you called him he would give you a bible verse my favorite was Phil. 4:13. If you asked him for advice he would give you the words of wisdom that you need to hear.
If that one Christmas Eve in 2013, I could have noticed quicker what had happened, Will might still be here today. So now that Will is gone I will still remember all the reasons that he is my very own hero.
